Oluwatobi is a dedicated member of EduAfrik’s Communication and Advocacy Team, where he combines his expertise in agriculture with his passion for driving meaningful change. An enthusiastic graduate of Plant Breeding and Genetic Resources from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria, Oluwatobi brings over 8 years of professional experience that spans plant breeding, crop production, agricultural insurance, and sustainable, climate-smart agriculture.

With interdisciplinary research experience in plant breeding, agronomy, crop yield, and sustainable agricultural practices for crops like maize, sorghum, wheat, rice, and soybean, Oluwatobi has honed advanced skills in experimental design, data collection, analysis, scientific writing, communication, and presentation. His research interests focus on plant breeding, sustainability, and climate-smart agriculture, with a vision to enhance global food security and develop sustainable food systems.

Oluwatobi’s work is driven by a commitment to tackling global challenges like hunger and climate change. He is passionate about breeding resilient crops to help smallholder farmers adapt to the impacts of climate change on food production, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. As an advocate of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, and 13, Oluwatobi is dedicated to eradicating world hunger, enhancing resilience, and fostering adaptive capacity for climate-related hazards.

He is equally committed to transferring knowledge and guiding the future of plant breeding, crop improvement, and sustainable food systems for the overall benefit of humanity.
