Obinna Franklin Ezeibekwe

Obinna Franklin Ezeibekwe holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s degree in Statistics from Northern Illinois University, complemented by a Master’s degree in Economics from Eastern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s degree (with first-class honors) in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. He works as a data scientist in the financial sector.

Obi’s research focuses on causal inference and time series econometrics. He employs appropriate econometric and statistical techniques to answer complex economic questions and has published four peer-reviewed research papers that have collectively garnered over 50 citations. His scholarly interests extend to international development, technology, and innovation.

Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, Obi is passionate about mentoring, volunteering, and sports. An ardent Real Madrid fan, he enjoys playing and watching football (soccer), as well as engaging in outdoor activities, chess, music, and TV series.
