Goodluck Chibuikem Adimuko

Co-founder

Goodluck Adimuko is an Erasmus scholar and co-founder of the Eduafrikscholars Global Connect. He is drawn to community development and innovation.

Goodluck has always displayed a passion for development activities, from departmental representations in the national and zonal conferences of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry students to being the team lead of the Drink IQ community development service group during his national youth days (in partnership with Guinness Nigeria). In the process, he observed first-hand the complex problems surrounding local communities in the aspects of health and access to information, which prompted his actions towards strengthening health systems.  In the same vein, he took up volunteering roles advocating for various policy development initiatives with the South Saharan Development Organisation.

In 2021, Goodluck was the team lead for the medication development and delivery group at the global health ideathon hosted by the Millenium Promise Japan (Project Liaison) – developing a  prototype (health cross talk) to aid medical researchers and other stakeholders.

He has continued to make significant contributions to sustainable development initiatives  across the globe, including:

  • Contributions to creating the UniPID’s (Finnish University Partnership for International Development) massive open online course in development studies via global south perspectives.
  • Contributions to the long-term EU-AU long-term renewable energy program (leap-re) and stakeholders forum in Helsinki, 2022.
  • Project proposal and presentation of an aspect of uberisation strategy at the Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology in India.
  • Study visits and discussions on AI, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Education and Sustainability at the University of Tokyo (School of Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Innovation – Crystal interface laboratory), The Tokyo Institute of Technology (INDEST, Innovation design studios) and the Shibaura Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan e.t.c.
Aside from being inclined to the higher education profession and related interests in community development, Goodluck loves playing volleyball/football and is strongly motivated by Ben Carson’s Gifted Hands – which he believes can inspire academic humility and excellence in different ways.
