AI-Driven Careers: How the Future of Work Should Shape YourChoice of Graduate Study
International Education Week (IEW) is a global celebration of the benefits of international education and exchange, co-hosted annually by the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. In November, Education African Scholars Global Connect marked the 2025 International Education Week by hosting a high-level panel discussion that brought together six accomplished professionals and scholars from diverse fields. The panel explored the theme “AI-Driven Careers: How the Future of Work Should Shape Your Choice of Graduate Study.”The discussion examined how artificial intelligence is transforming the labor market, redefining skills in demand, and influencing academic and career decision-making for students and early-career professionals. Pathway to the UK: Applying for the Global Talent Visa
The UK Global Talent Visa provides a pathway for exceptional individuals in academia, research, and innovation to live and work in the United Kingdom without employer sponsorship.
In August, we invited Andrew Nwanakwaugwu, a UK Global Talent Visa recipient, to educate African scholars on how to successfully navigate this opportunity. He explained the end-to-end application process, clarified common misconceptions, and emphasized that applicants do not need to be in the UK before applying—applications can be submitted from anywhere in the world.
In this session, he shared practical, experience-based guidance on how to prepare a strong application and position oneself for success.

In July, to commemorate the 2025 U.S. Independence Day, our Founder hosted a special podcast conversation with Brian Joanis, Assistant Village Administrator of the Village of Roselle, and Isaiah C. How to Win a Fully-Funded Scholarship in South Korea
In June, we invited Emmanuel Mbama, a beneficiary of EduAfrik and a recipient of a fully funded South Korean scholarship, to share his journey and practical guidance. Our organization also supported Emmanuel in raising the flight ticket funds he used to travel to South Korea.
In this session, he explained the step-by-step process for winning the scholarship and clearly outlined the key documents applicants need to prepare.

Immigration Strategies for F1 Students: EB-1 and EB-2 NIW Explained
The EB-1 and EB-2 NIW are employment-based visas for individuals with extraordinary abilities or with advanced degrees. They allow foreign nationals to live and work permanently in the US.
In May 2025, we invited a licensed attorney to educate African scholars about these opportunities.

2025 Memorial Day
To mark the 2025 Memorial Day, Education African Scholars Global Connect (EASGC) hosted a podcast featuring a Nigerian graduate of the University of Georgia and our 2024 Personal Travel Allowance (PTA) Scholarship recipient.
The event was specifically hosted to reflect on the significance of the Memorial Day celebration in the United States. It also provided an opportunity for the guest speaker to share his experiences growing up, discuss his time as a graduate student in the U.S., outline the impact of his academic achievements on the U.S. legal field, explain how the PTA scholarship awarded to him facilitated his transition to the U.S., describe his post-graduation plans, and offer advice to aspiring international students.

2025 International Women's Day
To mark the 2025 International Women’s Day, Education African Scholars Global Connect (EASGC) hosted a dialogue, “Breaking Barriers: Women in Academia, Scholarships, and Impactful Careers,” featuring a Nigerian Yale master’s student and EASGC PTA Scholarship recipient. The discussion explored overcoming systemic challenges in male-dominated fields through mentorship and financial support while emphasizing how women can harness academic excellence to catalyze community change.

2023 International Education Week Celebration (IEW)
