Nkem Ndem is a dedicated Ph.D. student based in the School Psychology Program at Northern Illinois University. Passionate about education, equity, and child development, she has worked extensively to provide underserved youth mentorship, counseling, and life skills training. Her commitment to social impact extends to advocating for culturally responsive educational policies and assessment practices.
With a background in research and direct practice, Nkem has experience in psychological assessment, student counseling, and educational program development. She has worked in clinical and school settings, supporting children with diverse learning and social-emotional needs. In addition to her work in education, she is exploring policy and project management opportunities to enhance large-scale interventions that improve access to quality education.
