Aganigbo Chukwudi Nwankwo is a lawyer and public prosecutor in the office of the Honourable Attorney–General of Enugu State, Nigeria. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Nigeria, a Post graduate diploma in law(where he earned a Distinction) from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, a Barrister–at–Law Certificate from the Nigerian Law School and was duly called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Had his secondary Education at the College of the Immaculate Conception (CIC) Enugu where he meritoriously served as the Senior Prefect from the year 2007–2008 wherein he represented his school in plethora of competitions and conferences nationwide.
Aga Nwankwo is currently overseeing public prosecutions in Amagunze division of Enugu State and has Represented the Honourable Attorney–General of Enugu State in many fora namely:
1. A radio program on some sections of the Nigerian Correctional Service Act on how best to decongest our prisons organized by Baywood Foundation.
2. A 2 days workshop on assessing the Implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Enugu State organized by the Law Hub Development and Advocacy Center with support from Mac Arthur Foundation.
Public prosecutions and Advocacy for Criminal Justice and jurisprudence generally has taken him round the state and beyond in his contribution to nation building.
A lover of knowledge, his unquenchable desire for higher education sustained his interests in international law and human rights; criminology and criminal justice; ADRs–Arbitration, Negotiation, Mediation and Conciliation; Energy and Environmental law; corporate law and financial management.
Aga Nwankwo has a wide experience in human rights advocacy and conflict resolution having served the Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Centre Abakaliki as an Attorney and Mediator from 2017 to 2018 and then Consultant till date. He also is the legal adviser to St. Leo’s Hospital Enugu (one of the best in Eastern Nigeria).
Aga Nwankwo is a social worker whose love for humanity is demonstrated in any community of his residence. He is the Secretary of CIC Old boys Association Enugu Branch, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Corporate and Public Administrators of Nigeria, Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators. He is also the Vice Chairman of Law Officers Association of Nigeria, Enugu Branch
A well bred fellow and with the discipline of human virtues, Aga Nwankwo though a happy Catholic with deep roots in catholicism has a liberal and detached mentality to ethnicity and religion.
While at CIC Enugu, he was elected the president, Young Catholic Students of Nigeria Ogui Zone, he then later became the PRO, Young Catholic Students of Nigeria Enugu Diocese, and was subsequently elected the Financial Secretary, Young Catholic Students of Nigeria Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province where he variously served to the testimony of his contemporaries about his spectacular galvanizing abilities in leadership and excellence.
Having garnered the requisite experience in public prosecutions and criminal justice, Aga Nwankwo is desirous of broadening the horizon of his knowledge to be equipped to contribute to the solution of evolving human and societal challenges; especially in aspects International Law, jurisprudence, leadership, administration and Crisis management, and/or Financial Management.
